Gyaana Books publishes: Fiction: literary novels, popular fiction, chick lit, short stories, young adult fiction.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Please send us your proposal in hard copy only (on A4 sheets, preferably spiral bound) at our correspondence address. We do not accept any submissions by email. Please do not send us any synopsis/script by email.

Please send us a proposal/sample chapters only when your manuscript is complete.

At the moment we do not publish non-fiction, children's books, or poetry.

Your proposal should contain:

• A synopsis of your work (not more than one side of an A4 sheet)

• The first two chapters in case of a novel. If it is a book of short stories, please send us two sample stories.

• A brief CV/author bio (one side of an A4 sheet)

All these should be typed neatly, with at least a two-line space separating the paragraphs. Please use an easily readable font (10-12 pt). Please provide your address, email ID, phone number, and final word count, on the first page of your document.

Please do not send us the complete manuscript at this point.

Once your proposal has been approved, we will ask you to send us the complete manuscript (hard copy and soft copy). The details will be provided to you at that point.

• The process of evaluation can take up to twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the proposal. Repeated reminders over email/phone will not accelerate the process. If you do not hear from us within that time, you are free to submit your work to another publisher if you so wish.

• Please keep a copy of all the documents you send us. It may not be possible for us to return the submitted material.

• Please do not send us a proposal if you have already submitted the manuscript to another publisher for consideration.

• Once the final script has been accepted, the terms and conditions (as per the contract) will be discussed with you.
