Fiction: Romance/humour
Of Wooing, Woes, and Wanderings is entertaining, fluid,
and sensitive. Chatterjee explores the love-life and profession
of an Indian oilman in the bleakness of oil rigs in the world, a
little-explored theme so far.
Author: Amitabha Chatterjee was educated at IIT Delhi to be
an electrical engineer, but opted to become an oilman. He
joined an oil company, where he has worked for the last
sixteen years, in countries round the globe-Venezuela,
Egypt, Qatar, and a few others he would rather keep secret.
He has lived in little-known places, and survived on dubious
foods. He is currently based in New Delhi.
