Gyaana Books saw a packed hall on 26th June 2010, as Sunit Tandon and Jalabala Vaidya read extracts from our latest release, The Dollmakers' Island, by Anuradha Kumar. Sunit Tandon is the former CEO of Lok Sabha TV, director of Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and a well-known theatre and TV personality. Jalabala Vaidya is a veteran theatre artist, actress, and co-founder of Akshara Theatre.

Gyaana Books held its first books reading at Axis Books, Bangalore. Chippy Gangjee (known actor/director/theatre person) read Turtle Dove: Six Simple Tales, on behalf of Divya Dubey. The book reading (also the first for the books store) received a great response.

Gyaana Books held its first book reading session at Yodakin, Hauz Khas Village, Delhi. The shop is known for its special support to small independents. Apart from the first list, we also offered a sneak preview of our forthcoming title.

Gyaana Books was part of the World Book Fair, organised at Pragati Miadan, Delhi. Our books met with a good response at the fair.

Gyaana Books, our new trade-publishing venture, launched its first list at India International Centre, Delhi. The books were released by the chief guest, Keki N Daruwalla, the eminent poet and writer.
