Gyaana Books saw a packed hall on 26th June 2010, as Sunit Tandon and Jalabala Vaidya read extracts from our latest release, The Dollmakers' Island, by Anuradha Kumar. Sunit Tandon is the former CEO of Lok Sabha TV, director of Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and a well-known theatre and TV personality. Jalabala Vaidya is a veteran theatre artist, actress, and co-founder of Akshara Theatre.

Gyaana Books held its first books reading at Axis Books, Bangalore. Chippy Gangjee (known actor/director/theatre person) read Turtle Dove: Six Simple Tales, on behalf of Divya Dubey. The book reading (also the first for the books store) received a great response.

Gyaana Books, our new trade-publishing venture, launched its first list at India International Centre, Delhi. The books were released by the chief guest, Keki N Daruwalla, the eminent poet and writer.
