Gyaana Books is a small, independent trade publishing firm based in Delhi. It was started in 2009 by Divya Dubey.
Our first list was launched on January 22, 2010, at India International Centre, New Delhi. The three titles were released by Keki N Daruwalla, the eminent poet and writer.
A part of No Flying from Fate was adapted for stage by Akshara Theatre, Delhi, during their summer festival, 'Diksha' 2010. Akshara theatre also adapted Anuradha Kumar's novel The Dollmakers' Island for the stage. It was performed to a packed hall on June 26, 2010, led by Jalabala Vaidya and Sunit Tandon.
Gyaana has published quality fiction, both literary and popular. We will soon be launching young adult romance. We are also looking to publish serious/commercial narrative non-fiction.
Fiction: literary novels, popular fiction, chick lit, short stories, young adult fiction.
Gyaana is looking for good quality non-fiction scripts, serious or commercial.
At this stage we don't publish poetry or children's books.

DIVYA DUBEY
The publisher is a former student of St Stephen's College, Delhi University, Delhi; and Oxford Brookes University, Oxford. She has worked with trade, academic and textbook publishing, as well as graphic novels. She was shortlisted for the British Council Young Creative Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Publishing) 2010.
'Turtle Dove: Six Simple Tales' is her own collection of short stories. She occasionally writes articles and short stories for mainstream newspapers and magazines, and conducts guest lectures on book publishing and creative writing.
